Vijay once again touched upon his political ambitions on Thursday by saying that he would not “disappoint his fans and would sure enter politics at an appropriate time”.

Speaking to reporters in Karaikudi, where he was shooting for his forthcoming film ‘Kaavalkaran’, the actor said in his typical style: “Naa oru mudivedutha adhai naaney ninaicha kooda maatha mudiyadhu”. (If I make a decision, even if I want to change it later, I can’t)

“This is not a dialogue, this is the truth,” he said and added: “I am building a strong foundation for an enduring political career.” The ‘Ilaya Thalapathi’ said: “I want to give my 100 per cent, whether it is cinema or politics. I wanted to become an actor and persisted despite huge criticism and here I am, completing 50 films today.”

“Politics is a huge ocean and I must swim through the strong currents and huge waves, face big challenges before reaching the shore. I am in the process of learning political lessons and preparing myself and my ‘People’s Movement” before pitching into it,” Vijay added.

On his 50th film ‘Sura’, he said, “The movie directed by S P Rajakumar has come out well. Produced by Sangili Murugan, it will be released by Sun Pictures by the end of this month.”
